My previous WP-100 was great, so I replaced it with the same model number. NOT the same quality at all; lower water pressure, lighter weight, smaller reservoir. I'm very disappointed in the item & likely won't replace it with another Waterpik when the time comes (seems like it won't last long, which could be sort of a good thing this time around).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazed how well it works and love it for getting food out between teeth! But I don't like the fact that I have to wait for warm water from my faucet to refill the reservoir. It would be fantastic if they sold it with a water-warming feature! (Cold water hurts those sensitive teeth. Even the instructions say to use warm water.)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had written a poor review about a week or two ago which I confirmed when I received the email from WaterPik but I can see it never got posted.. Disappointed in that..
Update: a rep from WaterPik contacted me & we tested my unit & they offered to send me a replacement part which at that time I accepted for the leak issue the short hose issue they cannot resolve.. Woe is me on that..
After thinking about receiving the replacement part I sent them an email & declined that offer.. Since I only had & used the unit for approximately 3 months & to think it needed a part replaced already gave me some concern on how long the unit would last & how well it was made; so I decided to box the WaterPik & put it in the closet with *memories of a learning experience for this senior*..
I'VE BEEN USING WATER PICK FOR MOTE THAN 20 YRS, BUT THIS TIME IS THE FIRST TIME I BOUGHT NEWER VERSOIN. COMPARED TO OLDER VERSION:
1. WATER CUP IS TOO SMALL. MUCH SMALLER THAN OLDER TYPE. WATER AMOUNT IS NOT ENOUGH TOO FINISH CLEANING. THUS, I HAVE TO REFILL WATER EVERY TIME. 2.SIZE AND SHAPE OF THE TIPS ARE DIFFERENT FROM OLDER ONES, THUS, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE 10 UNUSED OLDER TYPE TIPS, I CAN'T USE THEM ANYMORE UNLESS I REPLACE CURRENT ONE TO A OLDER VERSION.
I bought it a few months ago. I have used it only 4-5 times since the purchase. This thing doesn't work well. The manual way of flossing is the best option. I will be returning this very soon. and will never advise any one to buy this.
Our dentist reccomended this to us and we are glad

We bought this product about 10 years ago and have enjoyed the benefits of the cleaning. The hose broke after 10years use so I contacted the company and requested a new hose, and it came in the mail and we had purchased a new appliance and we received the new hose and we now have two Water-Piks, one to take to our home in Florida and one to keep here at our home in Ohio. Great Product!
I hadn't expected that I would use this daily because of the setting up. But immediately, I liked the deeper clean feeling and could tell that it was going below the gumline. I had a flare-up of gum disease and felt it might have been because of plaque under the crowns I had. This is pretty quick to use, and I can really tell that it's doing more than string flossing and brushing. And tho I usually use the regular tip, I can tell when I use the plaque seeker tip that it is helping my problem crown area, where I had swelling and pain. I will be interested to go to my next dental cleaning and see the conclusion. I'm guessing that I won't need so much scraping.
