We have nothing to compare the water pick to, because were die hard floss users, but it works great for getting the food from between the teeth and messages the gums nicely. We are pleased with its performance and ease of use.
Excellent at removing food particles that brushing or flossing often miss. Mine was bought at Costco which had a travel version packaged together with it. I wouldn't be without it.
I bought this at the recommendation of my dentist. I was having trouble flossing and it made all the difference. I know can floss and my teeth feel awesome.
This is basically a good product that does its job well. However, its design is faulty relative to the lid (with the extra picks). Manhole lids never fall into the manhole as they are round, the design of this lid allows it to fall into the water container easily.
I have a large permanent prosthesis which is difficult to clean between the device and the gum, particularly around the 4 posts. My DDS suggested the WaterPik and also cautioned me to keep the pressure level below 50%. It is an excellent method of removing foreign material. If one is not careful it does an excellent job od spraying about the room.
I would recommend this to a friend!
