Great color/b&w all-in-one

I've only had the printer for a few months, but it's done everything I expected of it. Colors are good, but not the best for photo printing (that is not the purpose of this type of printer anyway). The delay in printing the first sheet in a print job is a few seconds, but the remaining pages or multiple copies of a document are printed very rapidly, with no subsequent delays. The touch screen is easy to use, and the scanner works well. I have not yet used the fax function. I especially like the feature that allows me to design an 11 x 17 Publisher document for a poster, even though the printer can't print that size, and view and/or print it reduced to fit on an 8-1/2 x 11 page so I can see what it will look like in the larger size. My previous printer (different brand) couldn't do that. All in all, this is a very good all-in-one printer.

We print labels and the manual feed is fussy.

With the price of paper, NO printer should not be able to print on both sides of a piece of paper! I failed to veriify that this machine would!

I have the Brother laser printer MFC-L2740DW, which prints black only. I loved it so much, and was so tired of frequently replacing ink cartridges in other brands that I purchased this printer. I guess I did not check it out thoroughly enough, because I paid to have it delivered & installed and found out it will not print double-sided. It was such a great disappointment that I sent it back after thoroughly investigating additional printers made by Brother, and purchased MFC-9340CDW. I presumed all printers, especially laser printers, would print automatically on both sides of the paper. This Is probably my fault and not the fault of Brother in my presumption that all printers would automatically print double-sided.

So Good, Bought Two

I've always wanted a color laser and did a fair amount of shopping around. I've been a Brother user for many years and bought this model. Used it at one house and liked it so much, bought another one for the other house.

Like my new printer

I like this new printer. Once I got used to it, I found it easy to use and of good quality.
My only caveat is that the original cartridges did not make as many copies as was promised in the literature I received. I'm about to order a new cartridge, so hope that the number of printed pages will be accurate since that was very important in my decision to purchase of this particular printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
