Thrifty Printer

I have had Brother printers for many years, and keep graduating up. I started with the plain laser, then the multifunction (still have) laser. I needed to add some color to my life, and got another brand inkjet printer. After having Brother products, I was disappointed with the other brand - I had to change the color bottles almost every other time I used it. Bought the MPC 9130 CW. Color is great, it looks like a print shop, and the laser cartridges last a LONG time. Had to call support one time (for a mistake I made) - they exceeded expectations and walked me through the fix! Thank you!

Best choice Multi-Functional Device

After 3 mos, we are very pleased with the print, copy and scan capabilities of the MFC-9130CW. We haven't tried the fax capability, and probably never will due to the simplicity of scanning and then sending documents electronically. The prints/copies are very clear, colors of documents are true to the originals. The scan to file function works very easily, sending files to either my Mac or my spouse's. We like the ability to drive prints and scans from either our computers or from the easy to use control screen on the Brother device. Based on print cartridge usage, it looks like we are going to save a lot of money and frustration - compared to our previous ink-jet devices. Our one suggestion for improvement would be in the documentation available online for the Scan-to-Email and Scan-to-Email Server functions. The setup for these is quite confusing and could easily be more intuitive with more information on what works and what doesn't. We did get EXCELLENT support from the technical Brother customer service representatives. Thanks to them!

Cycle time seems slow, and the alternate paper feeder jams almost every single time I have tried to use it. Also the 2-sided printing process is really second rate. This is my 2nd Brother Laser printer and I am sorely disappointed in its poor performance!

Slow as molasses

This is the slowest printer ever! It takes close to a minute to print 1 page. Forget printing a large document, especially if you're in a hurry! It also regularly loses the wireless connection.

Networking nightmare!

This printer was great...for about 2 weeks. After that, the wireless had a mind of its own. I actually went through two of these before giving up and going back to HP. Sorry Brother...you dropped the ball with the network card instability issues.

Slow does not connect

Have tried to make a copy and it takes forever, have had to cancel and use my older brother copier. Does not connect to my devices have had to install the drivers each time to make a print. Only why i have gotten a print is to send the file to my phone and print from there.

Horrible printer

Had this printer for about 3 months and it is horrible. I always have to unplug it to get it back connected. It kept acting like it was going to print so I disconnected the wireless and now I have problems copying when needed (have to plug and unplug). Also, if you're out of one ink the printing works and sometimes doesn't. Waste of money and time.
