I have only had this printer for four months, but it is fantastic and I would not hesitate to buy it again.
Positives are: color is amazing and easily as good as the $5k machine we have at work. Scans are quick and very high quality as well as the copies. Color touch screen menu system was a very big upside surprise given how sensitive and intuitive it is.The big selling point for me is the wireless capability Works with all my PCs perfectly.

Great Printer

I bought one to replace an old Xerox laser printer.
My son saw it and then I bought the second one to replace his ink printer. They both work great with no problems.

got sick of ink jets with clogged nozzles and expensive ink cartridges. when i needed it it was clogged or dried up. this led laser printers/scanner hasn't had that problem, always there when i need it. add the fact i can use it in linux as well as win xp made my day. haven't had a lick of problems with it to this point. i also like the fact brother has updated firmware to fix things i didn't even know about.
great printer/scanner

Without any doubt, the best prints I have ever get from a printer is from this product, there is a drawback in the number of rings which restricts the use of one phone line for domestic use; as there is a maximum number of 4 rings. It will be beneficial if at least two additional rings isadded to the recent maximum of four to allow the voice answering machine to take voice messages should there is no one at home to answer the phone.

The printer is great except that that sleep mode sometimes doesn't unlock and so the machine needs to be unplugged to reset. The digial screen is easy to use but is slower to use.

I can smell toner fumes when I use it but the quality is good and the large toner cartridges last longer then those little ink ones.

I really like the way it prints, and it's not really a complaint against the printer but it runs out of ink way to fast and and toner is not cheap
