Seriously? Don't even bother questioning this unit over any other power center and line conditioner. This is for the new enthusiast or veteran audiophile. It contains a usb and Ethernet connection for gamers. It also has multiple light settings within its led display for brightness. A true 500 usd value. The blue display looks sexy and totally cleans up all video and audio noise. Great value. I strongly suggest this unit.

Great power conditioner

I originally bought this power conditioner to attempt to eliminate a loud buzz in a Samsung plasma tv. It didn't fix the buzzing issue, but I liked how this power conditioner looked in my media cabinet and that it had enough outlets for all my devices, so I kept it. I was overdue for a high quality power conditioner/surge protector for the thousands of dollars of equipment running through it.
I did notice one improvement right away. I used to get a popping sound in my powered subwoofer when I would turn on/off the ceiling fan on the same circuit. This power conditioner has eliminated that.
My only regret is that I didn't buy a Panamax model with a battery back-up. I have a separate UPS just for my Tivo to keep it from cycling power in brief power outages. Would be nice to have everything on one power unit.
What's great about it: Looks, quality, enough plugs for everything
What's not so great: Price

I have had a Panamax surge suppressor for about 12 years, but thought an upgrade was in order since I've recently upgraded most of my system. I have purchased a Samsung LCD TV, Denon receiver, Definitive Technology speakers, a PS3 and new CD player in the last 12 months (yeah, my wife is tickled!) and thought it wise to protect my investment with a newer generation suppressor from Panamax - essentially a great insurance policy.
It works great, looks cool and does what it is supposed to. I've had friends who have suffered lightening strikes and lost valuable equipment as a result. Since I live in Florida and lightening strikes are common, getting a surge suppressor is just plain common sense. By the way, I'm way over my love affair with Monstor products and their hype. When I compared their suppressors with Panamax the Panamax won hands down.
If you're looking for a quality suppressor, look no further!
What's great about it: Does what it is supposed to, with style
What's not so great: Nothing

This is a must have for anyone who has a Home theatre setup or highend equipment .. Did quite a bit of research and found this model is perfect for me. If you have a nice HDTV and/or highend equipment. Then this is a no brainer.. Think of it as extra insurance as this comes with extra protection guarantee from Panamax for all your equipment. I have Martin Logan speakers.(Theos , Stage center, dynamo 1000 sub and electromotion for the rear) pioneer elite SC-27, motiva amp, Oppo and ps3 and Vt30 65.. This handles it all
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased this unit based on a suggestion by my local Best Buy Magnolia rep. I took quite some time to decide, as it is on the pricey side! While deciding and shopping around, I have found the same unit on the web cheaper, but there is a CATCH!! If you buy the Panamax product at a non-authorized dealer, the warranty is VOID!! Hmmm, seems there is a market cornered here, AND, it seems Panamax should only be distributing their items through AUTHORIZED dealers... right?!?!
Well, after getting another positive referral from a friend that has one, and another from a Home theater shop, I bit the bullet and bought one. I did wait until my Reward Zone points came in from the 55" TV I bought, so I could at least feel a little better about the price! :)
Now that it is installed, I can say it is a great addition to my system! It helped to clean up some of my wiring mess, along with keeping a clean picture and sound for my system! My only complaint is that Panamax add a 90 degree (right angle) plug, instead of the straight plug currently on the unit. The power cable is rather beefy, and the 90 degree plug would allow for furniture or TV stand to be pulled closer to the wall!

Warning for home theater usage

I bought 2 of these for my AV Racks for my home theater. The build quality is great I like the isolated outlets they are rack mountable. I really like the always on feature on some banks but you can switch the other outlets off. The fans in my AV racks don't have an off switch so turning them off while keeping other devices on really comes in handy. The warning is this although they say high current plugins for amps and reciever. DO NOT plug your receivers subwoofers or power amplifiers into them. These type of conditioners restrict or limit current and amps need unrestricted current to work they're best. The consequence of this is it can severely affect the dynamics imaging and soundstage of your home theater. I learned this the hard way. From the moment I plugged it in I heard a huge difference in sound. After I checked in on several av forums I learned from others about this problem. If you have a dedicated 20 amp circuit to your home theater plug all your other gear into these but plug your amps subwoofers and av receivers straight into the wall. If your worried about surges just unplug them when not in use. I like the product but am giving them 3 stars for advertising they can be utilized for all your home theater gear when they clearly are not made for any type of amplifier that needs unrestricted current.

Pioneer sc37 would shut down on rocket blasts(as in Star Trek) or gun shots (as in The Town). After installing the Panamax unit that never happened again.

This unit does everything what Panamax said it would do.
I spent alot of time shopping for this type of unit and after what I was told about Panamax and what I seen of it, this was the one for me. The first thing I noticed was how much better the picture and sound quality improved.
Some years back I bought Monster's model HTS 3600 and paid $499 for it. It looks like junk compared to this unit.
I highly recommend the Panamax M5300-PM.
