I really like this game, although having it for the PS2 was probably not as fun as for 360. But still, this game was awesome, it rocks, Tom Morello, Slash, and Lou were all fun to beat, and I am seriously looking forward to coming Guitar Hero games.
Particularly, battle mode was a slight disappointment. The boss battles are loads of fun, but battle mode itself (multiplayer) wasn't all that great. I still enjoy pro face off better. The song selection was great, except the bonus songs were so-so. But all in all, this game still rocks. Just like the others in the series.
What's great about it: Good gameplay, fun song selection, and better multiplayer
What's not so great: Guitar Hero II was slightly better
I would recommend this to a friend!

As a fan of Rock Band I love this game as well - I never really was into the whole Guitar Hero series because I started off with Rock Band and loved that - but for the PS2 Guitar Hero is much better than the Rock Band - if Rock Band didn't strip all the good things away from the PS2 version it would be better but this is a great game though - I love playing it and I love the music - lots of music I never really heard of because I'm not that heavy into the rock music from back in the days but I love playing it even though I never heard of the songs makes me like the song even more and I love the battles that go on - I would definitely recommend this game
What's great about it: great music!
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

This game is hours of fun. You can play it when you're bored or maybe when you have company over. It's a great centerpiece for sleepovers and parties. It has a great selection of Classic Rock hits and a fairly good variety of other songs as well. It includes Weezer, AFI, Rolling Stones, Killers, like I said it's a decent selection. The only problem I have with the game is that you have to play through the career in order to unlock music. It's not good if you wanted a quick game of any song, but if you've got the time it is a really fun game. I would recommend this game to anyone, be it a college student, a teenager, a middle schooler or what have you. That's the greatest part about this game, anyone can enjoy. That is another reason why it goes over so well with parties. It is a noise maker and provides good music. Great Icebreaker.
What's great about it: Great music and really cool upgrades for the characters.
What's not so great: You must beat a level to be able to play more songs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The game was fun but I was expecting better. I don't understand how they call it "Legends of Rock" because only a handful of the songs were actual legends of rock songs. It doesn't make any sense. It is fun because its challenging and all the Guitar Hero games were fun, but I don't think it deserves the title, "Legends of Rock."
What's great about it: Hammer-ons are read well, practicing songs
What's not so great: Legends of rock?
I would recommend this to a friend!

This game is probably the best of the guitar heros! It's more challenging and entertaining! Worth every penny!
What's great about it: challenging, hours of entertainment, awesome multiplayer mode
What's not so great: NONE

I got this game for Christmas and after a month it kind of got old. I still love to play it every once in a while, but i know most of the songs.
What's great about it: fun to play with your friends
What's not so great: after a while it gets old

Guitar Hero 3 has much better graphics than the first 2, and has awesome songs. Great to play by yourself or with friends, but it's very addicting. if you have the first two, get this one! you won't be disappointed

i bought this game and i played then i cant stop playing i think im addicted to the game.i think its an addicting game the song i get 100 % on is on miss murder by AFI
