I have not watched this movie for at least 20 years, film grain was low to medium, close ups were great and the space ships looked used not brand new, great affect. The movie is a lot more symbolic than I remember and not much talking, great musical score. This movie makes you think about how life started, a little slow moving compared to today movies. Excellent.

Wanted to purchase this on Blu Ray, but never took the time to do so. We what do you know, I’m walking through Best Buy (pre Covid19) and to my surprise, 2001 is on sale.
Beautiful picture, sound quality is very good for a movie of this age.
Very enjoyable movie and it should reside in your library!

'2001: A Space Odyssey' is not only my favorite film of all time, it's a film I've owned numerous versions of over the years since first discovering it. Staggeringly beautiful and utterly profound, Kubrick's timeless masterpiece has never looked or sounded better than it does now in 4K UHD!
