Man, these UHD's are great. Even though it gets a wrap as being a mind-____ type of movie, I just like it as a pure visual sonic experience which these release delivers in droves. Highly Recommended

What a great movie for science fiction lovers and anyone who enjoys out-of-this-world space adventures! You should see it at least 3 times to appreciate the true genius of Stanley Kubrick.
2001 is a screen classic. There is no other movie out there like it, and it is morally clean, which I personally find refreshing!

I never purchased this movie until I saw this edition was being released. Upon watching it, I was extremely happy with the purchase. It looks and sounds phenomenal. Soon Full Metal Jacket will be re-released, so I may be inclined to buy that as well seeing how nice this turned out!

One of the classics of cinema - let alone science fiction - which looks breathtaking in this version!!!it The movie charts the progress of mankind from cave-dwelling apes to space travel and beyond, each stage heralded by a mysterious alien artefact, the Black Monolith. 2001 is a nonverbal and visual experience.Make of it what you will, but relax and enjoy this perplexing visual feast for the eyes and mind.

The movie itself is a bold artistic undertaking. Some people get it, some people don't and I fall somewhere between understanding nothing and being Kubrick himself. Some parts may put you to sleep but when you wake up you'll be greeted with a stunning film transfer that looks as if it was shot recently. Highlight was the scene you see on the cover and the ending sequence.
