I knew when it was announced that a 4K UHD release of 2001: A Space Odyssey was coming that this would a must buy. The movie set the standard for all sci-fi movies after it for special effects and this presentation shows why. Incredible details and a haunting score make this disc a must have. Highly recommended.

My jaw dropped the entire movie, this transfer is like seeing 2001 for the first time. The clarity is amazing.
The mother of all science fiction movies, every sci-fi movie since owes something to this one.
A subconscious odyssey beyond the infinite. Watch it with every door shut and every light off and no interruptions, then marvel at cinematic perfection from the masters Clarke and Kubrick.
