Does the designer still have a job?

I have owned two of these coffee pots. I have several complaints. The biggest one is, every time i pour a cup of coffee it spills on the counter. No matter how slow or how fast i pour, it stills. Does the employee that designed or signed off on this design use this coffee pot? Maybe Mr. Coffee should run a cross promotion with bounty paper towels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

got mine home and used it for the first time last night. I am disappointed that the clock does not have a backlight. This has always been a nice feature in my previous Mr. Coffee's. Why would you not do that?? seems pretty valuable and a good feature to have. I also had to return the first one I bought because the clock ran fast. Brewed my coffee about 3am when I had it set for 5:30.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this unit as a Christmas gift and was shocked when turning the unit off. I had my husband try and he was shocked also.

Needs backlighting for the clock/timer display!

I bought the older version of this coffeemaker about 10 years ago. The clock/timer had an LED display that was highly visible. Eventually, the burner surface got very rusty because I neglected to dry the carafe after rinsing it. I bought a new, nearly identical coffeemaker. The "new improved" version has an LCD display with no backlighting, and it is much more difficult to see. All other features are about the same, but that LCD display sucks! PLEASE Mr. Coffee.... PUT A BACKLIGHT IN THE DISPLAY!!!

I've had it a few weeks now. Clock does not light up so kind of hard to set up. The delay brew works fine but you really have to look to see it as no light in the clock area. Everything works as it should except the light so not going to send it back. About the only small coffee maker with the auto shut off so for that reason I would recommend, with reservation.
