Not for long term relationships

I bought this model in late 2017 and I have to say that for as long as it worked, I loved it. But after just 18 months it's dead dead dead. The water doesn't heat, the system doesn't pump the water into the basket, and the hot plate doesn't get hot. Only the clock and the little red "on" light still work, but nothing else is "on," so .. I loved it and I have had good experiences with older models, but am now shopping for a brand with a longer life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing

I owned an earlier version of this coffee maker for 13 years before it finally broke. The new version, sadly, is not as well-made. It's lighter weight and the plastic seems thin/cheap. I worry that the parts may crack or break off. But the biggest disappointment is that the clock is no longer lit. The numbers on the original pot lit up in green and were easy to read. As others said, this one has no backlight or lighted numerals. It does seem to make and keep the coffee hotter than my old one. I still like the design of this compared to other small coffee makers, and yes, it's difficult to find a small programmable coffee maker with auto shut-off. I'm not sending it back, but I'm not sure I'll buy another one when this one goes kaput.

Misleading Nomenclature

I bought this brewer because the box indicated it was a 4-cup coffee maker. When I unboxed it, the caraf looked small so I measured the capacity... 2.3 cups at best. I reboxed it and returned it to the retailer. If it is advertised as a 4- cup pot, then it should be 4 cups! Purchased another brand!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed in 4-Cup Coffee Maker

I bought this last month because my last one was a Mr. Coffee 4-cup that I had for years. This maker does not compare in value to the last one. So sad. This new one is cheep. Plastic body is very thin, lid does not close properly, when I remove the coffee pot to pour a cup it drips coffee (a lot), and the timer does not light up (the previous one I could easily see across the room, this one I have to get real close to be able to read it). I am very disappointed with Mr. Coffee, their makers used to have value. I will never buy another one and I feel I wasted my money on this maker.
