I bought coffee maker with the expectations of the clock, and see the time when getting up in the middle of the night. However, this coffee pot only came with the clock in black. I had purchased a Mr. Coffee pot previously and it had either a green or blue lite that I could see at nite.
This coffee pot is useless!!! Because of the black lite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It stopped working just after the water cycle

Hello,
I have just received my 4-cup Mr. Coffee and everything looked to me. I followed the instruction to clean it before using and ran a brew cycle with water only. When I turned on the machine, heard sound and it worked I guess as saw water boiling and dripping to the decanter. I was so eager to try with ground coffee then, followed exactly what written in the manual, which was pretty simple... But it didnt work at all then, even though the green light was on when I clicked "ON". Check the troubleshooting guides and didnt help. I kept the machine on for awhile then it was automatically off. Only saw light on but no sound and nothing happened then. Have tried several times already and no coffee at all.

This can be due to the fact that all of our products that are sold in the United States are manufactured and UL approved for 110-120 voltage. This can also be due to the use of converters, transformers, or other electronic devices with the coffee maker. Mr. Coffee 4 cup capacity is a good choice for anyone who only drinks two cups of brew each morning. The price is fantastic and all the features you'll ever need is at your finger tips! I have used this product fall awhile and highly recommend it.

Not good. Tried 2 and both had same problem

I purchased this for my grandmother to use in her assisted living apartment because it had an automatic shutoff. The hose that the water goes through pulled out in the first one after the first use. I returned it for a replacement and the same thing happened with it after a couple of weeks. She had another brand made just like it, without the auto shutoff, that she used for years with no issues so these appear to be not made well. She now needs the auto shutoff so I'll be looking for another brand.

Poor Quality

I purchased this product about 2 weeks ago and could not get the clock to light up, so I sent it back for an exchange. The second pot had the same problem so I contacted the Mr. Coffee company only to learn that the is model does not have a back light. The manual is misleading as it says the clock is a handy kitchen clock -- wrong --you can't even see the time . I have used Mr.Coffee products for 25+ years and never experienced this sort of disappointment. Also, the lid is very difficult to close. When you slip the pot in, the filter was to pop up, obstructing the lid from closing tight. No more Mr. Coffee for me, time to move on.

Do NOT buy this!

I bought this for my grandmother for Christmas and it has been nothing but trouble since day 1. First off, the lid never even shut properly to begin with and it's made with the cheapest plastic on the market. The basket always overflowed and made a mess regardless of how tedious we were with the filters. Brewing a pot of coffee became a mess because it leaked water all over the counter and put out an enormous amount of steam, creating water damage all over the cabinet space above it. 4 cups of water became about 2.5 cups of actual brewed coffee by the end of it, due to all the water loss. Worst coffee maker my grandmother and I have ever owned, and what a shame for all the damage it has caused us. Don't risk your money on such a cheaply-made piece of equipment, or invest it elsewhere because we have bought cheap coffee makers from other brands in the past and never had a bad experience like this.

Clock Worthless

Makes fine coffee, but why put a clock on it without a backlight? I replaced a similar unit with a new one. Old unit had a well lit backlight on the clock, but this new one is not visible. Worthless without a backlight.

Love how small it is

This has been a reliable coffee maker for over three years. I wanted to buy one in white but all they make is the one without automatic shut off. That's too bad, now I have to look for another brand. :(
