Living in Florida, my home is subject to a lot of power spikes and brief power outages. The battery back-up is great for my big screen, bluray, and surround sound systems because it protects and the systems stays on when the power goes out. My Tivo was damaged before I wised up and bought a UPS.

What's great about it: Plug it in and it's ready to go.

What's not so great: I wish all of the outlets were on battery back-up

Protect your TV from brown outs

With 10 outlets, I have more than enough for all of my equipment. I have this model for 2 years and it has been very reliable. When I needed an additional unit, I purchased the same model again.
