Not Good

Bought brand new in 2016. Compressors out in 2024. Was at the cabin with little use. LG said the would pay for the compressor not the labor. Nobody around will work on it for less then a grand if you can find anyone. It kind of makes me mad that we paid quite a bit of money for the black stainless French door fridge now we have to try and find a different fridge with a better compressor.

Do not Purchase. Known Compressor Defect.

Bought in September 2018. Unit broke for the first time in 2021 when the Linear Compressor failed. Replaced under warranty. Unit failed a second time in July 2024. Not under warranty. I've read all of the complaints regarding these models and how the company is fully aware of their defects. They've settled lawsuits over this but have stopped short of a recall. I'm certain this latest fix which I have had to pay out of pocket for will only last 3 years or less. I will not be purchasing another LG product, nor from any of their rebadged brands.

Looks good but poor service.

Compressor failed at 6 years. Warranty would have covered part but not installation. Would have been replaced with the same model compressor. Decided to throw it away. Also threw away the range when it was three years old because a burner was coming on by itself. Will not be buying any more LG appliances.

Counter depth is great in my space

This LG counter depth refrigerator with custom chill draw is wonderful because it gives me 4 more inches of space between it and our island. I love that I can open either or both doors, the freezer can hold a pizza (we had a side by side before). We had a party right after receiving this fridge and every inch of the fridge was used. There are only 3 people in this family so counter depth really was a good choice for us in terms of day-to-day use. I like the ability to adapt the chill drawer but even if we just use it as a deli drawer, we don't have to open the whole fridge to get to the deli fixings. It's pretty quiet too
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do no buy!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it 18 months ago. Love the look but within 2 months, Ice started to form at the bottom of the refrigerator trays. Now, the left door with the ice maker is defective. Fridge will shut off when that door is opened. Paid $135 for a service guy to come to my house and found out there's a default wiring inside the door. There's no repair possible and it's out of warranty. My only choice is to order a new door. Parts and labor will cost around $1,000. Paid over $3,000 just 1.5 years ago. Now, I have to pay another$1,000 to have a working fridge. Time to get a new one just never LG again.

Poor ice making system

I bought this refrig along with a microware, gas stove top, dishwasher and double ovens - all LG. The ice maker does not make enough ice to serve 6 glasses of ice for a dinner. There is not a reserve bin in the bottom so I cannot reach in to fill a glass or fill a thermos etc. Very inadequate for the cost of this refrig. My prior refrig had an ice maker and a large reserve bin for ice.
This is such a disappointment. I live in the South and here, ice is a necessity all summer long.
Would I buy this again - heck no!
