[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased all lg kitchen appliances and washer and dryer. The refrigerator in it’s short life has had to have the same repair 3 times within the past 8 months. It had a constant noise coming from the freezer that stopped only when opening the door. Replaced the item 2 times. This time stating the part was updated by LG. Hopefully this won’t happen again but I would not recommend their refrigerator. I looked at reviews by others and they were having the same problem. In fact their is a law suit on their refrigerators also and with a different problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful appliance BUT froze up twice in the first two years requiring service. This year it went out completely on 12/26 between holidays. With five adults living in this house, we were forced to dump meat, seafood, etc., etc. and "live" out of ice chests out on the deck!!! What a mess trying to get covered service and "loaner" fridge. Finally done five weeks later.
Pros: Style/Design, ease of use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this refrigerator just over four years ago and the compressor went out . plus the black stainless coating was starting to flake off

Not impressed with this fridge. We bought it 4 years old and then our compressor goes out. No warnings no lights, but food warm and spoiled. Freezer items defrosted and had to be thrown away. Thankfully we had the Sears Home Warranty program which covered all appliance in our house.
