Do not wast your money!

I got this refrigerator and it died 4 years after purchase. I had it repaired 5 times already. Even changed the compressor. It is dead for the 6th time now as I am writing this review. I wish I could give it 0 star. LG won't stand behind their products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my LG counter depth fridge so much that even though it died after 4 years, and it’s taken over 3 weeks to get someone to even look at it let alone fix it, I’m considering upgrading to another LG. Honoring this was just a lemon. So sad it died.

The one problem I have is that the water stopped coming out of the door spiket and in order to repair the loose wire, I have to replace the entire door since it "can't be reached". Seems like there should be a better plan for this.

Buy for looks, that's about it

Two years in and the compressor went. Service tech came to repair and stated that the compressors they use are junk. He told me i would be lucky to get two years out of the one he just replaced...Tah da two years later (almost to the day) the compressor went again! Lets be honest, we're paying a fortune for these appliances, they should last longer than two years. I also have their high end electric range- poor performance there too ;(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is beautiful. It does have areas where improvement can be made. The ice maker tends to jam up a lot and we leave it on crushed all the time. A spoon is used to clear jammed ice. The panel where you place your glass could get scratched a lot so we put a phone screen on the area. The air filter is tough to get off. You need to move it a small turn then complete the removal. The technician taught us this feature. The water filter is in a lot better spot.

Great for the first year then so many problems

Love the style and worked great for the first year, then we had one problem after another with this refrigerator. First, the ice maker went out, then a few months later the freezer drawer and slides broke off and shortly after this, the freezer having moisture issues and getting ice built on sides…until finally at 2 yrs, the freezer stopped working and now we have a refrigerator that doesn’t cool. The seal in the freezer also was defective (noticed this a few months before it stopped cooling). The crazy thing is we still have our 18yr old other brand refrigerator in the garage still running. So disappointed in this expensive refrigerator. Calling the repairman today for a repair to see if it’s worth fixing this 2 year old appliance. I see why this one was discontinued.

I bought the product over a year ago and it has worked flawlessly, until it stopped cooling. We called the repairman and he changed the fault piece as well as several other pieces that typically go bad over time. Thankfully, everything was under warranty.
