My LG refrigerator didn’t even last for years. During that time, the compressor went out twice, and was fixed by a company based on LG’s guidance. When the compressor went out for the third time, LG stopped responding to me. The repair people weren’t surprised at all (said this happens with LG refrigerators all the time), and my kitchen floor now has thousands of dollars worth of cumulative damage. Since LG stopped responding, wouldn’t call me back, and ultimately failed to honor their warranty, I simply had to buy another refrigerator, and this LG refrigerator was hauled off to the junkyard.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this fridge and it worked great at first but after a year and some months it stopped getting cold I looked it up and it seems a lot of buyers have the very same issues

Worst Refrigerator, the shelves broke less than a year, the black stainless started peeling, ice maker did not work after 2 years. Now years later linear compressor broke it actually was in a class action lawsuit but we missed it because no notice was sent to us.

Refrigerator is good but in 6 years there have been service calls one to replace condenser and evaporator coil in 2019 and then evaporator coil again in 2022. The positive is the service call and parts were cheaper than buying another refrigerator.

Purchased refrigerator 6 years ago and the compressor has been replaced more than 3 times. The customer service has been horrible.

I’ve had this refrigerator for 4 years now and all the features, storage, water and ice dispenser all work great. Top notch performance. However, there is on nagging issue. The design of this refrigerator allows for the door fans to ice up. The normal defrost does not fix the problem. You have to perform a full manual shutdown, overnight let it sit and start up the next day with. 12-24 hour cooldown. You basically lose the use of your appliance for 2 full days. If you don’t have a refrigerator in the garage, you ar in reL trouble. I have had to do this 4 times in 4 years.

Do. Not. Buy. This. Fridge. We had it repaired twice and it *still* broke down. This is all within the first 5 years of ownership. Just a terrible model, go with any other fridge.
