This has got to be the greatest thing that my wife and I have done with our t.v. We have a 50" LG and the picture quality was horrible when we took it out of the box. To bright, very grainy picture in darker action scenes, and it was always hot. After Vollie showed up at our house, it was awesome. He explained everything he was doing and did everything he was supposed to. After he was done, which was only about in hour or a little longer, he explained everything that he had done and the picture was AMAZING!!! Even the Direct TV HD looks better than it did before. Overall, I would say that this is the best thing anyone could do for their t.v. if they want it to last...
What's great about it: Excellent picture, TV runs cooler, Excellent colors, Awesome Geek Tech
What's not so great: nothing at all!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Calibration is the way to go

Just like the other reviews , why do I need this? But let me tell you one thing, my Samsung 52" is so awsome now. and I thought it already was the greatest!!
I am in Metro Detroit area, Chris was my Geek, took off his shoes when he came in, answered all my questions(many of them):I will tell all to get this service. Our Family spends alot of Home time and we use our entertainment area alot, with the blue ray from insignia, and this great calibrated LCD TV, you can't get me away from it now!!!

What's great about it: picture and sound quality is tops now
What's not so great: a little pricey??

TV Calibration

If you are going to put down a lot of cash on your home theatre, then you have to buy the TV calibration service. It's well worth the investment. My TV is now running cooler and the picture is amazing. You don't see what you are missing until after the service is complete.
What's great about it: Better Performance
What's not so great: None

i purchased a 42" insignia plasma and was recommended to get the tv calibrated. At first i thought that it was a marketing pitch. After i had my tv calibrated i can say that it has improved 300%. I have a 32" samsung lcd in my bedroom and my insignia plasma looks better than it. I'm looking to get my samsung calibrated soon.
What's great about it: improved overall picture quality
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

This a service that i really think everyone needs. Adjusting the picture on the screen menus can never give you anything that this professional instal calibration can give you, and i mean not eve close....
The geek squad installer was soo nice and great to work with. I highly recommend any GS service, they do fantastic work. But anyway this install will also help save you money by lowering your electrical bill and it also will make your TV last longer, so this is a small price to pay
What's great about it: Amazing picture quality, saves energy, great geek squad service
What's not so great: nothing

they just came out this Satuday. I have the Samsung 850 series so the picture was very good but it was running hot and was using much more power then needed. The customer service from the guy was great, very professional, and knew what he was doing. Picture is even better and with the power savings/ life of the TV extended I think it was the right thing to do.
What's great about it: great picture,
What's not so great: may be over priced
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased a geek squad tv calibration only because I was told that I needed to purchase a gs service to get 3 years interest free bill. What a waist of $$$$$$. My tv is a 58" plasma samsung. A magnolia class. My tv looks awesome out of the box. It did not need any type of extra service other than powering it up. The only noticeable thing about my new "calibrated" tv is that it is now darker then the way I watched it since I bought it in Dec '09. I got it calibrated in May.
What's great about it: Nothing.
What's not so great: Agent was helpful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i thought this was another dream the associate was selling to me , but after the geek people came in and did the calibration on my 52" samsung ,, i really notice a huge difference .. before when i brought my tv it looked ok .. but it waas a little to hard to watch at night because it was so bright .. but after my calibration ,,, everything looks alot smoother , like i am looking through a window literally. and they also adjusted my speaker system to so now everything is not so distorted when i turn it up . so when i look at my blu rays now the look like a 1000% better .. i highly reccommend everyone get their tvs calibrated by the geeks, its worth it .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
