I bake my own by bread once or twice a week since getting my kitchen aid. I am glad I got the 4.8L Kitchen aid. It doesn't take too much space in the kitchen bench. It's easy to use, easy to clean and the performance is excellent. I haven't failed any batch of baking since using my kitchen aid. It's pricey but I am glad that I bought it. Baking my low sugar deserts and low salt bread is no longer a chore.
The only issue is that we will put on weight if I bake too much deserts.

I bought this because I kept seeing cooking shows use these mixers, and my hand-held was too fast even at its lowest speed. My first use was to make a dough that used to take me 10 mins to knead. I left the mixer to do its thing with the dough hook while I prepared the rest of the ingredients. Amazing timesaver and a great result. I have made a few things so far and am really happy with this lockdown impulse purchase.
