Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a Kitchen Aid Mixer for 33 years & was very happy with it, but it is about worn out - most speeds don't work anymore. I was excited to buy this new one, since the bowl is bigger & it is supposed to have more power. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that the silver band on the motor head is installed crooked. (It could be a problem keeping clean.) I DO NOT like the fact that Kitchen Aid no longer puts the spring on the post. When running the mixer, it sounds clunky & I'm concerned about the motor wearing out soon because of so much play in the post & the part that goes up into the mixer head. When kneading dough, it sounds like the mixer is working harder than my old one that I made dough with for 33 years! My grandmother loved her kitchen aid, my mother loves hers & I loved my old one. But, I am disappointed with the new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best Investment

Missing everything!!!!

My mother in law bought this for me as a wedding gift. She bought it early like a few months before or wedding and held it aside for our wedding day. After all is said and done I opened the box and to my dismay i was missing all of the nifty attachments. Turns out she mistakenly didn't keep the receipt and had bought it too long ago so we couldn't return it. Now I'm left with having to rebuy items that should have been included. Such a disappointment.

I use it for ALL Of my baking and some of my cooking too! My favorite is using the whisk to shred cooked chicken breasts in seconds as opposed to with 2 forks.
I also got the spiralizer attachment (in photo) which I LOVE!
