I am happy. Had replaced my little GE freezer with a one used one of a different brand had racks that were part of the cooling. It leaked as soon as it frosted up. GE has cooling enclosed, so went back to the brand I had for years with no problems.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as Cold as Expected

Great size to offload bulky items from the kitchen side-by-side. Installer set it on the maximum setting of 7! When I realized this, I slowly reduced it to the suggested 4. Then I got a thermometer to gauge how it was performing. At a setting of 5, ice cream was frozen but soft. Find I must keep it at 5.5-6 to achieve +5 degrees. I thought the expected range was +5 to -5. I now assume it might not last as long as I had thought. Irregardless, it is doing a great job and I am happy with it.

Just right for my small apt and a GE

I've had it 3 months now, to let it show it's stuff. Freezes fine -- staying between zero and 10 below. Small enough to hide behind a room divider in my little apartment and big enough to hold plenty of food.

I am limited by size and purchased this chest freezer to meet the specs. I have always had a vertical freezer so was a little hesitant on the chest freezer. This is perfect and have had no issues with finding items in the freezer. They provided two baskets at the top that slide or can be lifted out. I added an old refrigerator bin aat the bottom and load it with items and can lift our also. I am very pleased.
