So far so good! Was just delivered this afternoon and it is plugged and instantly started cooling. So far we are happy! Hopefully it lasts along time! We bought this one based on previous reviews.

After much research, we decided to purchase this GE freezer. It is perfect for us! Runs very quietly, great seal on the door, all of our food is being kept perfectly frozen...no complaints!

Great Mid-Sized Unit

I bought this unit a couple of months ago, and I'd have to give it the 5*. Here's why. I'm in Texas where temps go from high 80's in mid May to consistently in the upper 90's and triple digits during the summer and this freezer cycles on and off while keeping the food frozen rock solid. You'll probably be surprised how large this unit actually is. I can see why it's a big hit with hunter's, as this is probably the most cost effective way to fill it. Note, what looks like buttons next to the green light are actually dummies. I set it on the "4" setting and haven't had to change it.
