Bought this freezer over a year ago and is working great! No issues at all other than having to defrost it every now and then from ice build up, but already knew that.

It certainly does keep the food frozen, however, even at the warmest setting, my thermometer only reads 7 degrees farenheit. In addition, the inside exterior walls keep frosting over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

bought this to store some film (yes real film) and have room to store homemade frozen green beans, pesto, blueberries, strawberries and other bits of summer bounty, as well as venison and other meat. because it is NOT frost free, freezer burn and ice buildup within packages is less an issue. I am very happy with it.

We had needed a freezer badly. We researched all the models and this one came up best in all the categories (cost, size, maker reputation, other customer reviews on line). This freezer does exactly what we need it to do and just keeps on doing it. Great freezer, very easy on electric bill which is a plus
