Great Grinder, Gets the Job Done!

This grinder replaced another Mr Coffee grinder that I've had for more than 20 (twenty) years! It still works, but has gotten a little dull over the years. This grinder has some neat features like the cleaner mechanism that I really like! I also love the auto-cutoff!

A little disappointed

Picked this up off the shelf a couple years ago, but before I got a chance to use it, I was gifted the bigger automatic grinder for Christmas. I've been using that one since, but it just recently gave up the ghost so I popped this one open. As the title states, I was a little disappointed. The cup settings are completely useless because you just measure the beans before you put them in the grinder and the grind type settings are completely useless because if you want a finer grind, you just hold the button down longer, and if you want a more coarse grind you just grind for less time. The settings don't really seem to change anything and just seem to be there for the pretty light show. It grinds just fine, and holds more than enough beans for a pot of coffee, but I admit, I was completely spoiled by my automatic grinder and will be buying a new one as soon as I can. If you don't care about automatic, go for the cheaper grinder. The $5 upgrade isn't worth it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this item over 2 years ago and use it everyday, sometimes twice a day with no issues. I lo e how the chamber goes into the dishwasher for cleaning and the choices on grind! Thank you!

Does not hold up

This is my second Mr coffee grinder , I have had this same one twice. First was a gift and that last 3.5 years.. Not bad! The second one i haven't had for 6 months. For no reason that i can find it just stopped working, lights up and all the good stuff but no grind. Rough and disappointing way to wake up when you are on stay home orders from the governor!!!

1. Timer setting is incorrect.
2. Timer was inadvertently rotated to OFF.
3. Hopper lid has been opened.
4. Ground coffee chamber is not in correct position.
5. Cancel button has been pressed.
6. The unit has been unplugged.
7. There's a power outage.
8. Ground coffee chamber is full and is clogging the burr mill compartment.
9. Motor has overheated, thermal fuse is broken.

Bad experience

I bought this grinder two months ago and it is broken already. The design is complicated, not very intuitive and it was always hard to make it work. I am absolutely unhappy about its performance and also I only used it like 4 times total. Unhappy user. 100% Unsatisfied.
