Works well, but cheap plastic inside

I bought this 5 years ago. Worked well for our personal grinding needing. About a year in the plastic inside the grinding cup that makes the beans grind evenly broke- just a piece on the top so we kept using. The three plastic sides got loose and eventually broke as well recently. Now it grinds awful and you have to shake it to grind all the beans. Have to throw it out because I don't see any way to replace just the grinding cup or the plastic ring inside. it feels like such a waste to throw the the functional base, and I hate that. I replaced with a kitchenaid grinder with no plastic parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought 2, neither work. Avoid like the plague.

I bought one of these and it worked for a month before it just stopped grinding. I've cleaned the lead, cleared the blades, tried different outlets, double checked to make sure the coffee chamber and lid were seated.
Figured it was just a faulty one, and returned it and bought another. The second one was dead right out of the box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mr. Coffee - I'm so disappointed

Now let me be clear ... we have been using Mr. Coffee products for decades, their coffee makers and grinders, and have been very satisfied.
But this new grinder is disappointing. And I am not speaking about a product defect. Even a company like Mr. Coffee, with an obvious control on quality could ship an occasional defective specimen, but it works according to the directions.
Here's the problems with this grinder:
1) It fails to thoroughly grind the beans. And this is so even if we give it a shake and grind again.
2) It is difficult to empty into the filter without getting grounds into the basket.
3) It requires an awkward cleaning after every use to avoid caked grounds clogging the bottom of the grinder well. I note that we do grind our coffee on the fine side.
We're hoping to find one of the older Mr. Coffee grinders at a garage sale.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Failed first time

I suppose we get what we pay for and this is one of the cheapest on the market. It stopped working during my first grinding attempt. The fault finding chart is a wonderful joke with such valuable advice as 'Unit is unplugged' ; 'Plug in Unit'... It appears that it has overheated and blown the thermal cut-out. With no warning and only maybe 30 secs of operation this comes as a suprise. If it can overheat in such a short time and without warning it should incorporate a thermal reset fuse. I'm now supposed to contact a service center... My choice was to dump it in the bin.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I loved loved loved my little red Mr Coffee grinder. It was a gift from my son one Christmas at least 12 years ago when I told him I was into "Red Kitchen Stuff." The red stuff is all gone- except this little red grinder. It was my first grinder and went the extra mile and back and deserves high honors... because I discovered the love of grinding coffee every day. Finally one day a month ago the little plastic rim broke. I kept using it .. LOL and even super glued it thinking " Maybe this is not a good idea" BUT it still worked. Then, this week, it broke in another place on the black plastic rim. It still runs! It is really a great machine. I wish Mr Coffee had a replacement part for it because I can not bear the thought of throwing away a great coffee grinder. It actually still grinds and I want to use it but at this point maybe it would be getting little bits of plastic in the coffee...( I do not recommend super glue- because it is probably toxic) . Please Mr Coffee- make us some replacement parts! -

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as I received this, I ran out to get some whole coffee beans! We have coffee every morning if not more often. All I can say is OMG! This little machine grinds those beans so fast that you are brewing coffee quicker than waiting for a Keurig to heat up! The smell when it is grinding is heavenly! It is very compact so I didn't have a hard time finding a place for it in my kitchen. So very easy to use with all measurements and buttons clearly marked. Nothing like a fresh cup of coffee made from freshly ground beans!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are back to grinding all our coffee now

This Mr. Coffee grinder is so simple to use and clean! We now have fresh ground coffee every morning. Easy to open and fill with beans. Then just push the button down to grind and pour out into coffee maker. The chamber and top spout twists off for easy rinsing. Highly recommend!

Great Coffee Bean Grinder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Mr. Coffee Electric Coffee Grinder. It's light, compact and takes up very little counter space.
On the grinder there is a measurement table that lets you know how many tablespoons of coffee beans you need
for 4 to 12 cups of coffee. There is a button setting for coarse, medium or fine grind and a button setting for number of cups of coffee.
Just add the beans, press the button and you have fresh ground coffee. It also has easy pour lid and a chamber maid cleaning system that
makes cleaning so much easier. This grinder is so quick and easy. I have fresh ground coffee every morning now. Give it a try!
