This is a very nice radio and has excellent reception. The instructions tell the technical reason why the reception is so good. Sure makes a difference. Use it all the time in the gym. It is also easy to operate. I purchased a cheaper radio before I bought this unit and took it back for the Sony. I am glad I did that.

Great device for the most part

I use this devise primarily in the gym. The reception is decent most of the time, but not always. My biggest problem on previous sets has been with the headphones, which have shorted out prematurely due to sweat.
Hopefully, this recent purchase will work better than previous ones. Perhaps a more durable headset can be sold with the radio....

Got this to replace an old Sony Walkman. It's smaller, lighter, and better. As a golfer, I also appreciate the weather band feature. My only small gripe: I put this on the rear waistband of my pants or belt when I'm playing golf, and the small clip can be hard to attach behind the back.
