SRF - Sweet Radio Find

A Great little radio that replaced an earlier Walman I owned. Even the headset is pretty decent and has great sound and stereo separation. The weather band and clock are a nice touch. The PLL tuner pulls the stations in remarkable well and the 15 presets are a nice bonus! I'm pumped Sony.
What's great about it: Features, Sound, Size, Display, 1 AAA battery
What's not so great: None to speak of

The Sony SRF-M37W Walkman portable radio is the best travel companion that I can think of. Once again, Sony has demonstrated its technical prowess, dominance, and mastery of the portable audio product category. This Sony portable radio features excellent sensitivity and selectivity with respect to its broadcast FM/WB/AM reception capabilities. I feel lucky and fortunate to own it. This Sony Walkman radio is a small and lightweight unit that fits with ease in the palm of your hand, on your belt with supplied clip, or your shirt pocket. It is just comforting to notice the solid feel and sturdy build quality of this resilient Sony Walkman portable radio. This Sony Walkman is a go anywhere radio that performs well under adverse conditions including a very hot and humid summer day or a minor rainy weather event. When I am at the beach, or walking in my local park, or taking a stroll on the boardwalk, I can pick up my local weather band station with a slight tap of a direct preset button to get an instant forecast the moment I see some clouds begin to populate the horizon and accompanying skyline. Weather band reception enables me to plan the immediate future of my outing accurately and immediately with the latest meteorological forecast at any time. The supplied headphones fit nicely over the ears for fatigue-free listening for hours on end. The supplied open air headphones incorporate the system’s FM and Weather Band antenna. The FM stereo reception of my favorite music stations sound marvelous with near concert quality audio reproduction. Radio reception, in my experience, with this portable offers no static and drift-free reception performance. I don’t have to worry about an accidental station change or button press wherever I use my Sony Walkman, when I enable the unit’s hold feature. AM band listening is a pleasure. I can never get enough sports information. Whether it’s the latest score, trade rumor, analysis of tonight’s game, or general sports gossip, this Sony SRF-M37W Walkman portable radio is always there to fulfill my interests. Talk radio programs and news broadcasts come in with great clarity and are easy to locate with the station preset feature. The battery life is seemingly endless. This amazing battery life longevity is wonderful because the radio’s operating costs are almost non-existent. I recommend the use of an alkaline battery for maximum audio performance and battery life of this Sony radio. Those high quality features include: FM, AM, Channel 1-7 Weather Band reception, headphone cord FM/WB antenna, built-in AM antenna, direct weather button, digital tuner, FM local/distance switch, 20 station presets, LCD display, digital clock function, hold, band, power, time set/tuning seek buttons, 5 direct key preset memory buttons, battery life indicator, 3.5 mm headphone output jack, volume control, belt clip, operating instructions, and the portable radio also includes stereo headphones. With its accurate reception, powerful stereo sound, simple operation, weather band reception, and convenient multiple preset station settings, this Sony SRF-M37W Walkman is an outstanding performer for your own personal mobile audio requirements. It is my opinion, that this Sony Walkman does not demonstrate any flaws in ergonomic design, broadcast reception, or sound reproduction. best you can get

let me just say that i was looking for a digital am/fm radio headset for awhile with button tuning rather than the dial and this was exactly what i was looking for i dont know if its that it has no external antenna or just where i live but i do get alot of static with my stations that is dependent where im standing at the time :) i use this guy to jam out while doing housework and its wonderfull and i dont need to drive everyone else crazy with my switching radio stations during comercials with the 5 preset buttoms 10 for fm. this is a good unit a must if you like the radio and dont want to disturb others and need a tiny compact unit, just be ready for a little static SONY FIX THIS AND IT WOULD BE PERFECT!
What's great about it: easy to use, easy to maintain, best on the market
What's not so great: reception is not as good as it needs to be

Excellent Walkman, I run in remote areas and receive clear signals..Best that I've found..Reasonable price..!

This is my third walkman. I am a contractor and use them at work. The reception isn't great but beats any other portable am/fm offered by any other company. My walkman have usually lasted 2-3 years then I have to get a new one. This time I couldn't find one at any of the big box retail discount stores so I had to order it online from Sony. (hope they are not phasing out this radio. The trend does not favor portable am/fm radios) My disappointment with his particular radio is that my batteries don't last nearly as long as they previously did. I have to replace the battery about every 30hrs or so. I used to get about 100 hrs of use from one battery from my previous walkman radios. Changing batteries that often is annoying and more expensive to use. Disappointing! Come on Sony...I thought you're better than that.

Superbly Functional Radio

Upon purchasing the Digital Walkman it's versatility was obvious. Small and light it fits in a pocket. Great battery life with one AAA cell. I find ear buds more useful than the supplied headphones. Additionally, it is compatible with modular powered speakers. Favorite uses are overnight talk and music, and easy listening when on the lawn tractor. Like it so much I bought another unit for my wife.

Excellent radio. Wish it had a strap for attachment to arm.. Don't trust the plastic belt clip. Looks like it would brake easy.

Only complaint is the headphones that were included.
Not good fit. Need smaller ones for female with
smaller head!
