im going to make this short and simple. Beowulf is an amazing movie, the whole thing was awsome, the graphics were my favorite part of the movie . i would recomend this movie to who ever is into this type of movie !!!

A terrible Film

Being of Norwegian blood, I was very excited about the story when the movie started. I didn't have any real issues until Beowulf faced Gredel's mother and she seduced him and made him into a liar and deceiver of his people.
Beowulf slays Gredel's mother and later returns to rule his own people.
In this movie he rules the Danes and the Dragon is really his own son from his union with Gredels mother.
Beowulf is a man of character and a hero. Not a liar and a cheat as depicted in this movie.
What's great about it: Very Good special effects
What's not so great: Terrible deviation from the Epic Poem's story
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This movie was beautiful in the theaters. I can only imagine how awesome it will look and sound on HD DVD. Order this now!!! Also get a surround sound system that takes advantage of HD dvd's capabilities if you have not done so yet!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I think this movie would have been better if the plot and voice acting were up to par.Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie doing their characters in the movie was kind of a miss.But the 3D animation and blood and gore were really good.It reminds me of the boy who cried wolf people told me this movie was good,but when I saw it,I got tricked.
What's great about it: 3D animation,Blood and gore,Action
What's not so great: Plot,Voice acting
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While the animation in Beowulf was visually stunning at parts, the animation harmed it more than not. The people are incredibly detailed, the men more than the women. Queen Wealthow is identical to Julie
Andrews queen in shrek 2 and 3. Every strand of hair sways, every roll of fat and every muscle is detailed. The scenery is well done (when they are not in the mead hall) But when it comes to eyes and mouths, the animation really screws up. The eyes stare at you with the emptyness of a zombies, showing no emotion whatsoever. The voicecover is poor especially because the animation does not pick up facial movement well. I personally enjoeyed the plot change and felt it flowed better. The action scenes are top-notch. You have to watch it expecting to be entertained. It is not meant to be Braveheart, its meant to be a simple action movie
What's great about it: good animation and visuals. decent action
What's not so great: flaws in the animation, bad voicecover
I would recommend this to a friend!
