I think it would be just about perfect if there were lights on the lower shelves in the refrigerator. The upper light is just not enough to see things on the lower shelves.

Would Not Recommend

We had this GE refrigerator for 1 month. After 2 weeks it developed a chemical smell (like nail polish remover) in both the refrigerator and freezer (when the door is opened). We do not have the water nor the ice cube maker hooked up and yet there is something leaking down the slot where the water would go. One repair person came out and could not find a freon leak. He left saying he would put in his report. We are waiting for GE to tell us what comes next. The lighting in both sides is not bright enough. Very displeased. It was the only size that would fit in under our cabinet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I think I made a wise decision. The only problem. Ice dispenser selection does not work properly.

Love the fridge, and it’s slim depth! Way better than the deep one we had that stuck out and caused too many stubbed toes. I added one more door shelf and that gave it ample room. Only thing that I would change is the lighting isn’t the brightest. But it’s not like I’m reading books in there. Love the water & ice spout in door. Makes fast ice as well.

Nice Refrigerator

I recently purchased a home, but had no choice in the selection of appliances.
I'm a little disappointed in this refrigerator because it is small and not well lit inside. There is no small drawer for meats and cheese like the apartment I lived in. There are two draws for vegetables and fruits, but no temperature controls. The freezer appears to be smaller also. Given the chance to select my refrigerator I would have bought one with more features.

"Not Recommended"

I am very unhappy with this refrigerator. There is a temperature panel but it doesn't display anything. The doors to NOT automatically close. The inside shelves and draws are made from cheap materials. Impossible to clean the outside. I don't even try anymore. Not happy.
