Still getting used to what seems to be a smaller storage area - and one less drawer than my prior refrigerator. Ice machine seems to generate ice at a slower rate than my prior refrigerator. OK for my wife and I - but not sufficent for entertaining.

Just updated the kitchen in our home built in 2000. So wonderful to have the ice and water dispenser feature on this refrig. Also appreciate the counter-depth style. Love the slate finish which minimizes finger prints. Only wish the stainless steel door handles did the same.

I bought this fridge on the recommendation of salesman that it was a better fridge then some others. I did not see the fridge (or really any other side x side as they mostly had french door fridges) and went by comparing on line pictures the salesman showed me. It's my own fault, as I was getting confused by which features were in each fridge going back and forth looking at the pictures, but I am disappointed that there are only two draws instead of the 3 I am used to. My bad, should have taken more time to view on line photos.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AFTER A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER BRAND OF REFRIGERATOR, WE BOUGHT THE GE COUNTER DEPTH MODEL IN THE SLATE FINISH. WE LOVE IT! UNLIKE THE OTHER BRAND, THIS GE IS QUIET, AND THE FINISH IS BEAUTIFUL.

Great features just small

I love the fridge just wish there was more room in it. Outwardly it looks large but it is actually limited space on the inside. Not enough room for the amount of food I'm use to storing (which is not a lot for 2 people). I would recommend this for a single individual who doesn't cook much.

We've had this refrigerator for almost 4 weeks now and LOVE it. Of course, we knew that getting a counter-depth meant a little less storage space - that's obvious, so I'm not sure why that's such a complaint from people. Less depth = less interior space. If you want more interior space, get a standard depth. Common sense. Personally, we have plenty of space as a family of 3 that cooks almost every night at home. The flexible shelf adjustments and the additional door storage helps out a lot too! The ice maker is super quiet - we never hear it running. I've always loved GE appliances and this confirms to me that they are still the best! The only minor thing is that the stainless steel handle on the freezer is getting a little scratched on the side from my husband's wedding ring - not sure there's much GE can really do about that though!
