This was part of a 2017 renovation. Our kitchen is not huge...roughly 12' x 12' with a wall for the pantry. We chose a counter depth side-by-side fridge (22 CF) because it doesn't stick out in the floor so far. I have had a freezer under and did not like it. A freezer over puts us stooping for everything in the fridge part. Thus a side-by-side. GE had the features I wanted, primarily the counter depth with lots of flexibility in shelf adjustments, on the door and inside. I knew we would not have the storage space of a full sized 25 CF, but we are OK with that, having one that size in the garage. Plus there is only 2 of us and we eat out frequently.
I would recommend this to a friend!

High Quality Side by Side Refrigerator

This refrigerator is a great product. I love the door alarm that lets you know if the door is left open. This is great with little ones in the house. It also uses the space inside in a great way. The only thing I do not like is pulling out the ice bucket for parties/etc. Not the best design.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The non-nubby surface is easy to clean; it displays the refrigerator and freezer temperatures on the outside; the depress tongue for water and ice is long enough to be depressed by a medium sized glass; it comes in white, which is my color of choice. On the negative side: the light doesn't extend to the lower shelves; there are no pull-out shelves in the freezer (so I bought some plastic freezer bins0.

Noisy, Not Well Lit

Poorly lit, very noisy. Looks nice, which it was quiet and did not make loud banging noises and hum so loud. Too much light right in your eyes, not enough light everywhere else. Dark on the bottom. Door panels are uneven so things rattle when you open and shut the door. Sad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect size

We are housebound and purchased this online. It is a very nice refrigerator with some good features. However, we are disappointed that it does not have a deli drawer. Where are we supposed to store those types of items? It is very quiet and makes excellent ice cubes.

Freezer door pops open

The refrigerator is beautiful and fits nicely in my kitchen but when I close the fridge side the freezer door pops open. I have to constantly check the door because the door alarm does not go off. Had I known this was an issue ahead of time I probably would not have purchased this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
