I was very disappointed with this game. I had the first one and it was awesome. R6V2 is the samething online all over again. New story in campaign mode but everything else is the same as the first R6. If you liked the first one just keep your money and play it.

To everyone who is trying to compare this game to CALL OF DUTY 4..... STOP!!!! these games are different COD4 is a war game. Rainbow six is a tactical game . Of corse there is no Melee attack (knife) or jumping.. Rainbow six for years has been about team work planing your next move, and some what stealth, its not a Simulated War game. In war maybe you can run out with a gun and just shoot people. In rainbow six you wait for a the right chance and use teamwork and communicate. you can't compare the games it doesn't make sense. Its like comparing Rugby & American FootBall. Its a Great game online its fun new reward system and its easier to find online matches with a new search menu. By the way (I own both Rainbow six vegas 1&2 and Call Of Duty 4)
What's great about it: Graphics updated . New guns, updated maps
What's not so great: First week (poor online service, but every game has poblem at first online)

First off I have to say, vegas 2 does deliver in the area of modes of play offered. The scenes are very colorful and there are an abundance of maps. What disappoints me is the movement of the characters isn't very life like. The characters seem to glide and not walk at times. Also there is no jumping feature or any knives for melee techniques. I kind of figured that this game would attempt to go one step further than previous war games but maybe that wasn't their goal. This game has its place in the war game market, but don't put your copy of Call of Duty4 on Ebay just yet.
What's great about it: lots of features, very colorful, lots of maps
What's not so great: AI guys not very fluid moving. They don't walk, they glid at times

After hearing about this game for months, I finally gave into the hype and paid out my $60. Unfortunately, that was probably a mistake. I had hoped to get a fun first-person-shooter set in an awesome Vegas setting. Instead, I got second-rate graphics, counter-intuitive controls, and a "Vegas" setting that felt more like a cheesey cartoon that the real Las Vegas. (The entire first mission isn't even set in Vegas.) This game may be worth renting if you're looking for something to do for the weekend, but it's absolutely a waste of money to pay $60 for it.
What's great about it: Customizable character
What's not so great: Poor graphics, sub-par gameplay
