I wanted bluetooth connectivity but the seller's installer told me it had to be connected to the amplifier by wires. It's not the highest quality unit I've had, but, as I said, it's OK.

I guess it is nice to have this as a record converter, but the fact that you can't actually listen to any records on it doesn't make any sense... I wouldn't really recommend it. Sorry Sony, but I don't like this one...
What's great about it: It converts records
What's not so great: It doesn't do ANYTHING else..

There are two reasons that I am disappointed with this turntable.
(1) It only has bluetooth connectivity for something like 30 feet. That's ridiculous! Having bluetooth connectivity should allow the speakers to be more than 30 feet away from the turntable.
(2) I still can't get over the fact that the turntable is made only to handle 33 1/3 records and 45's. I am so disappointed that it can't play 78's, which were so common back in the day. This is a huge fault of the machine.

However like it competitor it doesn't allow one to stack records on the spindle so when a record finishes the next record drops

Also the needle arm does not have clasp to lock it in place when one finishes it
And why id the power button at the back
The sound is good however

Great replacement for a 30 year old purchase

I was searching for a turntable that would be able to work with a 30 year old component system, and it certainly does that well. The sound is amazing. What bothered me is I needed the experts (additional cost) to put the platter on, attach the drive belt and to teach me to operate the unit. What ever happened to "out of the box" use?

Limited, but how much does one need to enjoy vinyl? You only have two options for speed, the platter doesn't run very flat, and there's no way of gauging whether or not the platter is spinning at the correct rate.
However, it DOES sound amazing, and the controls are super intuitive. Auto stops when records are done, and even comes with an up/down option, for pausing, or in the attempt to skip tracks. PERFECT for a first time unit, but don't expect much from it if you've used turntables before.
