Side-by-sides are ideal for narrow kitchens but are the least space-efficient inside. Most models we tested chill and freeze adequately and include pullout shelves or bins, spill guards, and room on the door to hold a gallon of milk. Higher-end models offer half shelves. Love the large racks inside.

We chose this refrigerator because the inside racks hold a lot of jars of condiments and other things we store in the fridge.

We've had this fridge for 2-3 months. We love it thus far. It's much larger than our previous one, and we've never had the ice maker/water hookup prior. We love this feature. The middle drawer on the fridge side is stubborn to open/close. Otherwise, we have no complaints. It's very quiet compared to our old model.

I have bought 3 homes and all have GE products that break after 1 to 3 years. Make sure you get the warranty.
