Replacement

We wanted new BISQUE appliances but were told by many sales reps that bisque was being phased out and soon would not be available. We bought slate instead. We knew it at the time that the sides of slate appliances are black in color. It's too bad that in today's world GE can not match the color of the front and sides of appliances. This is a replacement because we noticed that there was a very pronounced "bulges" on the sides of the refrigerator. The delivery men told us this was usual and results in the way the insulation and sides are attached to the main body of the refrigerator. The bulges were not as noticeable on the replacement.

Large but energy efficient!

I am so happy about my GE side by side. , I perviously owned a GE side by side but because of a energy saving program they said I had to get a newer model that was more efficient. I had that refrigerator for more than 15 yrs., and nothing was wrong with it. Low and behold the new one had all of the features the old one had, plus more. Wish my old GE Convection Stove had to be replaced but it passed the ratings test.

This is the replacement of our refrigerator purchased 14 years ago, performed extremely well with no issues.
Great and well thought out design, well build and very little noise. Love it.

So far, so good

We've only had it a few weeks and my first impression is that it does take a while to get cold but makes ice very quickly. It's roomy and well lit throughout, shelving and door bins have multiple convenient adjustments and items are easy to find. We already bought the double oven gas range in slate which we just love so this was an easy choice
I would recommend this to a friend!
