Have had this appliance for a week and am pleased thus far. Would be a nice feature if the inactive ice/water selection buttons had a light for finding without room light at night. Great interior lighting.

First time with water dispenser...

So my former GE refrigerator started getting ice build up behind the back panel and could not be fixed, according to the technician. I had my old one for 6 years before we started having this problem and I loved that refrigerator! After months of checking prices, and reading reviews we decided on this side by side model. My old refrigerator was a French door style. The new one is sleek and easier to organize now. Especially the freezer. Before it was like a big drawer that everything was dumped into and I was constantly rummaging around in it looking for stuff. The ice and water dispenser is great so far too. It runs a bit louder than our other refrigerator but I don't mind it. Overall we are satisfied with the purchase but we also bought the extended protection plan just in case...
Also, I purchased the refrigerator online, but only after seeing it for myself in the store first.
I would recommend this to a friend!

so far Iamvery happy but when husband sent me a picture of the frig it had a soda can shelf and it did not come with it

We've had this fridge for two months and it's great. The initial sounds took some getting used to, but now it whirrs quietly. Love the alarm when the door doesn't shut. The inside is slightly narrower than our old GE fridge, but very functional. Ice maker/water dispenser works great. The slate finish is virtually never smudged and so easy to wipe down. Only thing to polish is the stainless handles; very easy. Inside freezer shelves are cramped; not a lot fits in those, but, again, functional. Very satisfied.
