Great Refrigerator

I bought this less then two months ago and love it. Better then the Kenmore I replaced. The water line is annoyingly slow but thats a minor detail.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic Value!

Since we had built our first home we have been confirmed fans of GE products. These
appliances are quiet, energy efficient, and a great value for the money. Our recent purchase of a refrigerator was anything but disappointing. The LED lighting inside as well as the glass shelving are wonderful. The ice/ water dispenser works like a charm and is SO QUIET!!
We were happy to be able to purchase the fridge in white as all our other appliances are white, and it kept us from having mis-matched appliances. The install and haul away of the old fridge was a service that was just icing on the cake!

A little more spacious then I thought

Overall, the refrigerator has more space then I thought it would. I love the humidity drawer but was a little puzzled because one drawer wasn't labeled. Its easy to clean with wipe on outside. Love the sliding shelves inside as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this frig

I bought this to replace a French door refrigerator that was only 6 years old and not a GE. There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about this refrigerator. I'm thrilled with my purchase. Lots of storage space, makes plenty of ice and looks great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good side by side fridge

Had this unit about a month and I'm very happy with it. I wanted a side by side fridge with as few bells and whistles that I could find. Replaced a kitchen aid french door unit that at 3 years old had lots of problems. This side by side G E seems to have more space even though it's smaller than the kitchen aid, and is easier to find things in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Product is adequate - keeps food cold, makes ice cubes, etc. as ir should. It is very bulky-looking, and I find the additional 1" flange on top of the doors to be superfluous and intrusive. Even though I measured carefully, the flange interferes with the opening of the above cabinetry as my precious unit did not. Shelves cannot be adjusted without pulling the unit out from it's place so that the doors can be fully opened. Had I been aware of these details, I would have chosen another unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A few things good be improved.

Not very quiet, the motor makes several different noises with one that is very high pitched and is very annoying to my ears.
The ice dispenser spits out tiny pieces when it is on cube and must have glass way up to top of dispenser or these tiny pieces come flying out all over.
Hard to reach in by hand to get ice as ice sits way back in ice maker.
Handles show finger prints and smudges.
Silver slide push controller on water/ice dispenser gets white water spot line on it, hard to keep shiny
This item was mainly purchased for the Slate color.

I've only had this since Saturday. It's a beautiful finish and no fingerprints!! I love the color and wish more manufacturers would go to smudge proof finishes. It has worked well, was easy to get up and running. It does run a bit loud when it's running. Apparently, after the door is closed for 2 hours it stops. It is quiet when it's not running.
I would recommend this to a friend!
