Very satisfied with our purchase of this refrigerator. Fairly quiet in its operation. Roomy inside. Love the Slate appearance. Energy Star rating is a plus.
Biggest disappointment is that a complete written manual on how to remove shelves & bins, and other operational information is not included with the delivery.

My husband bought this refrigerator without me. It makes ten pounds of ice! Too much for just the two of us. I wish the freezer section was larger with less ice. Have a bit of trouble with the uneven lighting. The uneven temperature freezes my salad or meats not as cold as I like.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought a new home and since the previous owner had had a side by side, we bought this one to put in it's place. Problem number one--the curved door handles hit the wall, so we can't open the door all the way on the fridge side, which makes it hard to get things in and out of the appliance. Problem number 2--the ice maker takes up entirely too much room! We moved the items from our previous freezer (over the fridge model), and had to put part of ithem in another freezer because they wouldn't fit. Also, the smooth finish shows ALL fingerprints, and my granddaughter's alphabet magnets have left scratches on the doors. The machine operates fine and I hear no strange noises (the refrigerator we replaced, not a GE, sounded as if it had gremlins inside, tapping on the water lines).
I would recommend this to a friend!

One thing that my wife liked was the ice maker. Easy access and plenty of ice. Plus, we paid for the extended warranty that's a must.
