Poor Construction

The day after having a 2nd one delivered I notice a dent on the inside of the refrig side, also the doors are not aligned correctly. The 1st one was the center post was so damaged it was unfixable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not so hot or cold

I've had this for a few months. It's quiet but my old fridge kept items colder. I can only change the settings to 2 settings colder and drinks don't ever get very cold. Very disappointed. Also not as much storage in fridge side. Biggest thing is the fact about getting drinks cold. I love a really cold Diet Coke and I can't get one with this fridge

Noisy and Cheaply Made Bin Drawers

Bought this refrigerator two months ago and find it noisy almost constantly and one of the bin drawers in refrigerator area does not slide open and closed smoothly but rocks from side to side as if it needs lubercation on the runners. Another one was ordered and it was worse than the original,even the store delivery guy noticed it,kept the first one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like everything about it except that there is a light spot on the selector for cubed ice. It appeared within the first couple weeks. I just hope it doesn't get more pronounced in time.

Well designed side by side

We bought this GE refrigerator to replace a 4 year old Refrigerator that was poorly lighted inside and was always running out of ice. Very happy with this GE model. Bright inside and it never runs out of ice. The door open alarm is a neat feature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

GE side by side is fantastic.

We have had 2 other manufactureres in the last 10 years, we were very disatisified ( I was not permitted to list them here). The GE blows them away. Makes perfect ice, the freezer temperature stays even, the outside panels do not show finger prints and they did a nice job using all the spaces.

GOAL ON PURCHASING THIS FRIG WAS TO TOTALLY UPGRADE OR KITCHEN. OLDER FRIG WAS A GE SIDE BY SIDE. ICE MAKER WORKED BETTER THAN THIS ONE. DOES NOT CRUSH THE ICE AND TAKES A LONG TIME. THE STAINLESS STEEL HANDLES DEFEAT THE PURPOSE OF BUYING A GRAY FRIG THAT YOU DO NOT WANT FINGERPRINTS. ALSO THE LIGHTING SYSTEM SHOULD BE SMALLER ON THE TOP SHELF. CANNOT PLACE DRINK CONTAINERS LIKE WE USE TO IN THE OLDER FRIG. BELIEVE THE ENGINEERS NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT SOME THINGS WORKED BETTER IN OLDER FRIG AND THE UPGRADES SHOULD BE MORE EFFICIENT MOTORS AND BETTER LED LIGHTING.

I wanted a slate finish and I am very glad that we. It looks great. The fridge is narrow however I do like that I can separate the meat in different rows in the freezer.
