Beware! Fridge may leak at first!

We purchased this fridge and after a few weeks realized we were constantly mopping up water. We thought it was the kids dropping ice. It turns out it was the brand new fridge leaking!
GE sprays the insulation onto the fridge in the factory and it got into the water line to the ice maker. Water was leaking from inside the back of our freezer where it couldn't get past a clogged line. It took a repair man coming out to find this. He said he sees it a lot. Meanwhile, we've had water underneath the fridge and all around it for nearly a month. Flooring is warped as well as the wooden cabinets near by. Can't say I will purchase another GE product. This is a known problem to GE according to our repairman. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased our refrigerator 2 weeks ago. We love the deep door shelves. The shelves can be adjusted in a number of heights. They are easy to move. We appreciate that the doors actually stay open when we need them too. Our last one did not and the doors kept hitting us as we tried to put the groceries away. There is more room in this model that our previous refrigerator, although it fits in the exact same space as the previous one! We hope it last 20 years, just like our last one!

This fridge is pretty nice, not super fancy, but definitely not a fridge that I'd just toss after a few years.

We bought this to replace a 30 month old Kitchen Aid French Door refrigerator that started having cooling problems 8 months (4 different repair attempts) and just died before Christmas. We really like the style and color. There is plenty of room in both the freezer and refrigerator. My only complaint is that the ice maker does not make ice quickly. It took almost 5 days to get more ice in there than we would use in a day. The volume of ice it will hold is great! Overall we love it. Hope that doesn't change.

Purchased this model for our clubhouse because of the large capacity ice maker, fingerprint resistant finish, 25 plus cuft and it was made in the USA.
