love the slate

we bought our fridge a couple months ago and I am so pleased with the slate that I chose I had a black one in the past and this one doesn't show fingerprints I love it

Bought this refrigerator 6 weeks ago as a quick replacement when ours went bad. I was just recovering from surgery and didn't have time to shop. I took what we could afford that was the same size as our old one. So far it works great but I'm not happy about the expensive water filter replacements. They do give you a plug so you can with unfiltered water. What I don't like are the really large dome light that hogs usable space and the new way the doors close or should I say don't close. Any refrigerator I've ever owned would allow you to open it grab a bunch of stuff and close by itself, the doors were made that way and very convenient. Now, no matter how far I open the doors and let them swing back they don't close they bounce in a partially open position and you have to actually push them shut. What really tickles me is that GE is touting this as a new feature. I think they had a failed attempt at making self closing doors and decided to call it the latest design. It does run quiet and the icemaker works as expected but then again it's only been 6 weeks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Fridge!

Great looking and very quiet, this has all the features that I deem important in a refrigerator/freezer. I especially like the digital temperature controls as it is always nice to know that the temps on both sides (refer and freezer) are right where they are supposed to be.

Roomy interiors

Love the roomy interiors--can fit lots of food and beverages in refrigerator. Love the three interior drawers (2 with humidity controls) and I love being able to adjust the height of door containers (which in addition to milk are roomy enough to store a lot of incidentals like ketchup, mustard, mayo) . Great storage in freezer! Returned French door refrigerator for this one and I am thrilled I did so. This contains so much more storage and is much more convenient to have in the kitchen. I highly recommend this multi-faceted refrigerator.

Overall good value refrigerator

Recently purchased, so far so good. Time will tell if it the refrigerator hold up. The last GE only lasted about seven years before the compressor went out.
