But, the ice crusher only crushes about a quarter on the ice cubes dispensed.

Love it!!! Love how quiet it is and the great ice it makes. Two things I would recommend GE change are: Light at top shelf extends too far down; Hard to read selection panel on door unless bright lights are on.
