good overall for the price. Love the fact that it has a sandwich drawer. Very roomy. Only bad thing is the light hangs down too far in the top.

I bought this refrigerator and matching appliances in the slate. I love the color, it looks so modern. It has all the features I love like thevice and water door dispenser and a deli drawer in fridge. We like the side by side as opposed to the bottom freezer

Read all kinds of reviews and based on ease of servicing we purchased this side by side GE. Found to get the best cooling in the fridge side set to 34, and door items are at 40. To get max ice cube production set freezer to -4. Like the adjustable shelfs. To us the unit is quiet compared to our older unit. Like that the display shows the temps inside the box. Regarding the doors we do not understand the complaints about the doors not closing all the way. Ours has the spring loaded latches at the bottom of the doors to keep wide open or closed. Yea if you do not push on the doors to close they will spring back open. If you do not like the spring latches the owners manual shows how to remove them, so they open and close like a normal door. Also when you place the unit, make sure you leave 2 inches behind the back of the fridge. I placed a 2 x 4 on edge on the floor behind the fridge (actually 1 1/2 inch thick), so with the base board at 1/2 inch, this will keep the fridge 2 inches from the wall when it is rolled back. There needs to be proper air flow from the back of the unit to run properly, This is true for any fridge, as a refrigeration unit will remove the heat energy from within and puts it outside the unit, thus creating cold, lack of heat energy. And yea the LED light at the top is a little bright but makes for good lighting to see everything in the unit. Also purchased because the ice maker is easy to repair and inexpensive. See youtube. Every review, on any brand of refrigerator, will have issues with the ice maker. So best to get one that can be easily repaired for low dollars and you do not need to pay high bucks for a repairman.
