I like my new frig, but the light system takes too much room and I wish it had a shelf on the door for sodas. I was going to buy an extra door shelf, but they are too expensive just to put soda on.

I have had this model for a few months. I bought it to replace my previous GE side by side which broke after 11 years. They don't make them like they used to. Overall this seems to be a good product. I like the glass shelves in the freezer and the drawers in the freezer fit and work 100% better than the previous model. The ice maker has been working flawlessly (the old model froze up regularly).
Minor negative: The water comes out very fast and often splashes out of your glass.
Biggest gripe: The drawers in the refrigerator do not have wheels and operate strictly on glides. often they get hung up and do not operate as smoothly as the previous model.

Note to GE: put the wheels back on the refrigerator drawers.

We bought this refrigerator when we moved into our new home and have been quite happy with it. It looks beautiful and is easier to keep clean than the stainless models.
