I purchased this refrigerator about 5 months ago. Installation was a breeze but we did not hook water up to it yet. Since the handles are stainless steel they do show fingerprints that I'm constantly wiping off, but I love the look of the slate with stainless handles. I do have an issue with ice collecting on the interior upper left corner of the refrigerator. The shelves are adjustable so there are options, but I find it difficult to arrange stuff in there so it's easy to access. This is my first side by side so I think there's a bit of learning curve there...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Annoying Sound

Product purchased 3 months ago. Works fine, but emits a very loud and bothersome noise when fan or compressor is working. GE tells me this is a normal sound, but we have a open concept kitchen and the sound vibrates throughout the living space. Gives us headaches. Would not recommend based on this.

Timeless design

GE has been wise enough over the years to not muddle up some of their well engineered products. I had a 2008 GE Profile refer that I sold w/ my old home recently. I was looking for another Profile when I saw this model. Not top of the line. But, . . . the design, size, and interior were exactly the same as my previous refer. No need to reinvent how and where all my food would be stored. So happy I could find an inexpensive, simple, familiar, and complete product.

Too many flaws for a new product

Needed repairs to the filter leaking and ice dispensing jams. Repairs were requested and needed before the refrigerator was a week old, a second set of repairs is needed less than a week later.

Run all the time and is noisy

We have had the refrigerator for 2 months and have had the service tech out. The refrigerator run all the time and make a lot of noise, fan running and popping sounds. The tech said that the noises are normal, I would trade it in if I could.

Have had to have three service calls since I purchased this 8 months ago - led lights failed, fan failed. Ice shoots out so hard and fast it kept cracking our drinking glasses. We have to use a plastic cup and then transfer the ice to glassware. Items in the fridge freeze periodically even though the temperatures for both fridge and freezer are what they are supposed to be. Very disappointed.
