Disappointing

Had GE refrigerator for 18 years. This one - larger and fancier - has problems in freezer. Portions of freezer are coated with ice crystals. Trays in refrigerator do not move smoothly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great refrigerator/freezer!!

We have only had this refrigerator/freezer for a week but so far so good. It is stainless steel but it does hold magnets, which I wanted. The ice machine can be a little noisy but it doesn't bother us at all and it's just at random times so not a constant noise, just took getting used to. It took a bit for the crushed ice to really start producing quickly but now that we've had it for a week it comes out quickly. For our family of six, it is perfect for our needs!!

GE Fridge

Just had the fridge delivered and I liked it at once. We had the comparable model for 20 years and my daughter will get it tomorrow. This new fridge has very clean lines and lots of storage and shelves/bins. The lights are outstanding and having the temperature, etc on the door with the water/etc is very handy and appreciated (don't have to open the door to check temp. We were surprised it was not stainless steel on the sides as we do not have it in a full pocket (one side visiable), but doesn't affect the operation.
