Great Refrigerator/Freezer

I chose this refrigerator over the one I really wanted, but after it was delivered and I started using it I was glad I got this one. The size is perfect. There is plenty of room on the inside.

Amazing Fridge!

A side by side that is actually spacious and is quiet to boot! The manual said it would take 24 hours to cool and it was done in a few hours. The ice maker is quiet and the ice tray is easy to access and pull out plus the water filter is easily accessible at the back of the fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice & Spacious

Only time will tell but so far we like the upgrade from a smaller GE that came in our home when purchased. Love the LED lighting & easy access to the ice reservoir for those time when you want to just reach in & grab some ice ... or better yet pull it out entirely to fill several glasses by hand. Was surprised how quickly the fridge & freezer reached targeted temps & compressor started cycling normally.
I read a ton of reviews "before buying" & some complained about noisy compressors running all the time, loud ice maker ... blah, blah, blah .... again it's to early to tell but so far no problems like that exist with ours. Sure, you can hear the compressor hum when it's under a load & even more so when it's trying to cool everything down for the 1st. time; but after that I noticed the unit doesn't come on & run nearly as often as our older fridge did. The icemaker dumped it's first tray of ice within 4 hours of installation.
I can say without a doubt that ANY & ALL brand names & models will have some negative reviews on them if they've sold in quantity. It's up to the consumer to weed thru the negatives & I guess you could call it "taking the chance" on buying whatever it is that fits your needs on any particular model. Simply put, there always will be a certain amount of LEMONS that will slip thru the cracks & make it into our lives, it's the SERVICE & honoring the warranty by the manufacturer after the sale that counts, especially when you need it ! GE has a pretty good reputation for standing behind their products & I look at that as much as I do the price, options etc.
As for the 4 star rating, if the product holds up well & I can come back & update it to 5 stars later .... I will.

LOVE THE SLATE COLOR

So far we are happy with our new GE Side by Side. The jury is still out on the ice maker. Seems to be a little slow to make ice and water line a bit noisey. Hoping it improves as time goes on a bit. Only a few days old.

My old one went up so I researched different refridgerators. I liked the size and the looks of this one. The shelves on the doors are deeper and the drawers are larger. So far, I am very satisfied with the product.
