this game was really fun but it was basiclly the same game as the first one just with some new stuff and the thing where you have to beat it then do it again to get the insane difficulty achivements was stupied and they should have just given you all the difficulties and the online play was really fun but laggy and glitchy

Gears of War 2 has a great campaign. One of the biggest problems I had about the original was that I was able to beat it in about 4 hours however this game took me close to 12. The pacing of the campaign was really good as well as they kept switching up the scenery and the gameplay. There is one specific vehicle part that I feel they should have either pulled or fixed up a bit since the controls didn't work very well and it was glitchy. However that was just one section of the massive campaign which can even be played through with a friend. I felt they tried a little to hard with the story this time as it had some moments that felt very forced and well kind of stupid. The multiplayer is basically the same as it was in the original. It still has small levels pitting teams of up to 5 this time against each other. There are a couple of new additions like a cool new gametype in which you have to capture a person. You can also play the multiplayer against bots which is really good to practice. One major problem I have is finding games online. It uses a matchmaking system that really doesn't seem to work well. It has taken me over 15 minutes to get into some matches. I heard this doesn't effect everyone however. Overall I recommend any FPS fan looking for a good campaign to pick this up but if your looking for multiplayer I recommend renting first.
What's great about it: The campaign is excellent and lets you play it with a friend. Graphics look great.
What's not so great: The multiplayer setup isn't very good. Story feels forced at times. Not much new stuff.

Over all great game. Great new modes like horde, wingman, king of the hill ect. great new addition of support weapons (mortar/mulcher). Ability to take meat shields is a plus. One major drawback would be the increase of players takeing advantge of game glitches (turning invisible/shield glitch) as well as game tampering (lag switching is a big one) and host advantage is still an issue.
What's great about it: New modes/maps, expansion maps, new weapons, meatshields, and story line.
What's not so great: Explotation of glitches can be worst the first game. Game lag, and host advantage still isnt fixed.

I personally own this game and its definetly the best game I own for the 360. The campaign way better and longer compared to Gears of War 1. The multiplayer is really good if you have a good connection, but sometimes people online have a tendensy to play like a total nube. lol. Yet I still enjoy this game and I would recomend it to people who like to kill enemies when they are down!! BUY THIS!!!
What's great about it: Awsome graphics, and even a challenge if you are really good, Best Multiplayer
What's not so great: online can make you say "bull----"

I really like the this series. The game has a very cinimatic feel to it. It really puts you in the game. YOu feel a wide range of emotions. You will have no problems replaying the game over and over.
Now the bad. The multi player is HORRIBLE. The move of the characters is sooooooooo slow. The only way to move fast is to sommersault all over the place, or duck and running making precision movement terrible. Shooting on the move yea right. If you are buying this just for the mutl player, save your money and stick with Halo.
What's great about it: story line, graphics, repeat playability

This is a very fun game if you enjoyed the first one. They didnt add too much but thats not necessarily a bad thing. Controls are identical, which is a good thing. A few new enemies. A good solid shooter.
What's great about it: Very fun, CHAINSAW, stunning on an HDTV
What's not so great: Not much added onto it from GOW 1

I loved the first Gears and knew Gears of War 2 was going to be great too. I got this game on the midnight release and it was the limited edition one too. The story is done very well and the gameplay never gets old. All of the executions are a blast to do too. Also, the weapons are all fun to use and the cover system is pefect. The graphics are amazing you will love this game in HD gurranted. Plus, horde mode with friends is fun everytime and makes the game so much better. Even the story playing it on co-op or by yourself is a great time. One issue I have is the matchmaking for online I just don't see a point in it. I liked the lobby system from the first game better. Its annoying because if I want to play one gametype I have to hope others vote for the same one, which most of the time doesnt happen. Also, same with the map its always the one I dont want. Where as in the first game they let you pick where you wanted to play and the gametype you wanted too. They are coming out with a title update next week that will add a cool ranking system and maps. Epic has supplied tons of maps and good amount of DLC since it came out, which makes me happy. Overall its an awesome game and even fighting the bots in multiplayer is fun so trust me buy it.
