The ideas of this to hold my GPS was good. Mounting it in the vents worked fine too. However, that put the GPS behind my steering wheel where I couldn't see it. Trying another vent, I couldn't get the GPS to face me. I found it limited. It may work better for you.

I wasn't very happy with this at first as it wasn't stable when mounted as directed in the instructions - later found there is a 'foot' that puts the weight and adjusting angles stress on the body of the dashboard instead of the airvent - much improved.
